- To safeguard the children's health and keep essential hygiene standards, AAAK will continue to give financial support, with its partners, for water tanker deliveries.
Background
During the Eco-Friendly Washable Hygienic Sanitary Pad Kit distribution and awareness program at the Safe House in December 2025, which included sessions on proper usage, health benefits and menstrual hygiene, AAAK saw that the Safe House still faced problems with its regular water supply.
Description
On 14 January 2026 AAAK installed a KENT RO water purifier with a capacity of up to 20 litres per hour. The initiative was started by Sachit Shrestha and supported by Mrs. Simone Vondung and Mr. Dietmar Heimann of Goethe hilft mit – Verein für humanitäre Hilfe e.V., Bensheim, Germany. Ram Pandit and Raja Basnet helped buy the equipment at the best price.
