Background
Children in vulnerable situations need adults around them who understand mental health and child protection, and girls need safe, affordable menstrual products.
Description
With Antardristi Nepal, AAAK held an awareness programme on mental health and child sexual abuse prevention at Shree Buddha Secondary School (18 July 2025) and a parent empowerment and self-care session at Shree Damaitar Basic School (22 August 2025). On 27 November 2025, in cooperation with Goethe hilft mit – Verein für humanitäre Hilfe e.V., Bensheim, Germany, it held an eco-friendly washable hygienic sanitary pad kit distribution and awareness program at Shree Damaitar Basic School, followed by a program at Antardristi Safe House in December 2025. It also organised the ‘Sustainable Society for a Secure Future’ learning programme at Arniko International School with sessions on mental health and adulting by Sanam Poudel and Dr. Reema Maharjan.

Eco-friendly, washable hygienic sanitary pad kits were handed out in cloth bags, with awareness sessions on proper use, health benefits and menstrual hygiene. AAAK thanks Goethe hilft mit – Verein für humanitäre Hilfe e.V. and Nepal Pariwar – Familienkreis Nepal e.V., Germany for their generous support. Project cost: NPR 150,000.

With Antardristi Nepal, a session for parents on mental health, self-care and positive parenting, facilitated by Binita Adhikari (founder and director of Antardristi Nepal) with Rajani Bharati. AAAK provided lunch and refreshments for parents, students and staff.
